Here is Kate's cake. This cake has been consuming my thoughts day and night for the lase week. I started this cake on Thursday night. I baked all the layers, and froze them. Then on Friday night, after Kate had fallen asleep, I was finally able to start decorating. It took a whole lot longer than I thought.Pieced together with strawberry filling between the layers.

Frosting the sides and tops.
Actually starting to feel like I'm making some progress.
Frosting the Turrets (sugar cones).

Add a couple of princesses, and WA LA! After 5 cake mixes, freezing time, and hours upon hours of decorating, The Princess castle cake is complete!
(I still have to add flags to the turrets, but you get the idea.)
P.S. I really want to weigh this thing. I think it's probably close to 15 pounds! And Kate hasn't seen the cake yet. It's hiding in the Laundry Room.

Oh my gosh! Love the cake... I made one almost exactly like it for Macey's 1st birthday. What an awesome idea to FREEZE it! Did it make it a lot easier to frost that way? Awesome... now I really want some cake.
Happy Birthday, Kate! Did she freak when she saw it?
That cake is the coolest!!! You are amazing!! Such a fabulous MOM!! Kate is going to be excited!!
My birthday is coming up in a few months...want to decorate another one!!!
The cake was awesome. You are so talented! Thanks for having us down!
AWE. SOME.
Seriously - that is amazing. I always dream up the coolest cakes but lack the skills (talent) to actually make and decorate one!!!!
I'm so impressed, Cami.
. . . That design is incredible - I see potential for a stunning temple cake one of these days. . . maybe for Kate's wedding.
I made this cake a few years back for my daughter's 5th birthday. Yours is great!
Wow! way to go, you're like supermom. I'm sure she loved it.
