A Party Fit for a Princess

(Ignore the make-up, Kate did it herself the day after her party.

My mom and little sister went in on a "Giselle" dress from the movie Enchanted for Kate's birthday. Kate as only been asking for a Gieselle dress for about 6 months now! She was thrilled to finally get it.

Lara and Crystal actually ditched Kate's birthday party to go to the New Kids on the Block concert. (Had it been ANY other night, I totally would have been there too!) So they came over early and helped Kate get ready.

Kate realized how hard it is to be beautiful! She loved her hair though!

The Cake

Here is Kate's cake. This cake has been consuming my thoughts day and night for the lase week. I started this cake on Thursday night. I baked all the layers, and froze them. Then on Friday night, after Kate had fallen asleep, I was finally able to start decorating. It took a whole lot longer than I thought.

Add a couple of princesses, and WA LA! After 5 cake mixes, freezing time, and hours upon hours of decorating, The Princess castle cake is complete!

(I still have to add flags to the turrets, but you get the idea.)

P.S. I really want to weigh this thing. I think it's probably close to 15 pounds! And Kate hasn't seen the cake yet. It's hiding in the Laundry Room.

Growing up, my parents had several records of Bill Cosby's. Some of my favorites were Noah, The Dentist, and the Grandparents. But my all time favorite was Chocolate Cake for Breakfast.

Part 2:

Today Kate got to celebrate her Birthday at Preschool. As part of her celebration she got to take a treat to share with her classmates.

Last night as we were discussing what treat she wanted to take to share with her classmates, she says, "Mom, I want to take pink cupcakes with pink icing and sprinkles. So that when the boys ask for like a green one or a blue one, Miss Roxi can say 'Sorry there's only pink!'"

Part 3:

This morning it wasn't chocolate cake, it was pink cupcakes with pink icing and sprinkles.
