Our Soccer Star

Kate has her very first soccer game tonight. She is so pumped! She's been talking about it all week. Seriously, it's all she's talked about this week.

I was a little worried when she came home from preschool on Tuesday complaining af a tummy ache. I couldn't get her to eat anything all day, and she spiked a fever of 102.8. She just wanted to lay in my bed and watch T.V. all day. (Very unlike Kate.) The fever continued on Wednesday until around noon, but I was able to get her to eat and drink. She woke up today with no fever, and has been feeling fine all day. As long as her fever doesn't come back, I think I'm going to let her play tonight.

Rob took Kate out last night and let her pick out some shorts. He also picked out some socks and shin guards. When they got home, Kate, of course, wanted to try it all on. The socks were a little big, but I've washed them in hot water and dried them on high. So hopefully I shrunk them a little. Once she had her whole "soccer outfit" on, she of course wanted to go outside and practice with her daddy.

I love this picture of her, but she suddenly looks so grown up, and very tall!
