We got home, and I ran a few last minute errands with Andie while Rob and Kate headed to Home Depot. I got home, unloaded the car, and got the girls ready to go. The girls and I headed to American Fork for a picnic lunch and egg hunt with the Washingtons (my sister's in-laws). It was a pretty nice day, and the girls had a blast.
Andie did this on her own.
Seriously! I just happened to have my camera already in my hand.

Kate all ready to hunt for eggs.

Andie showing Aunt Kiki her stash.

Kate popping bubbles.
(They brought a bubble machine, and the kids had a blast chasing and popping all the bubbles.)

After the egg hunt the girls were exhausted. I had to constantly keep them busy singing songs on the way home to keep them from falling asleep. It was worth it. We were invited to a Barbecue with some neighbors down the street. The girls ate hot dogs and had tons of fun jumping on the trampoline. We went home, and I got Andie in bed, then Rob, Kate and I dyed eggs. Kate was even in bed and asleep by 8:30. It was WONDERFUL!!!
Easter morning arrived, and I awoke in a panic. Rob had started a shower (the Easter Bunny had hidden his basket in the shower the night before while he ran to pick up the sour cream I forgot). I jumped out of bed and made sure his basket wasn't getting flooded. Luckily he had seen it before he started the water. The girls woke up shortly after that, and were excited to go find their Easter baskets. (At our house the Easter Bunny hides the baskets for the kids to find in the morning.) Kate found Andie's basket, and helped Andie find it too.
It took her awhile, but she finally found it. She was SO excited!
After that, everyone had a lazy morning except me. I put the ham in the oven, got the rolls out and rising, made "funeral" potatoes, and green beans. The girls got a bath, and I got them dressed in their Easter dresses. We ate our Easter "lunch," and headed to church. The kids were exhausted. Kate actually laid down on the pew and fell asleep. Andie was ready for a nap, and wasn't feeling well, so we took them home after Sacrament Meeting. But I wanted to get some pictures of the girls in their dresses first.Andie did NOT want her picture taken.
Kate, on the other hand, was more than willing to pose for the camera.
This is the best shot I got of the two of them together.
Guess we'll have to try again another day when they aren't so hopped up on sugar, and when they're feeling a little better!
P.S. We've been enjoying our Easter dinner leftovers all week! The kids love ham!

Oh my cuteness!
I LOVE the Easter dresses and all the Easter fun - That Kate is so charming!
They looked so cute! Kayla saw me looking at your blog the other day and I explained who you all were. Just now she came over, saw the new pictures, and said "Mommy! When are we going to see Kate?!" (It sounded a little demanding actually!) She even remembered her name and is excited to meet her!

I wondered why I didn't get to play with Andie in nursery on Easter! Glad everyone's recovered.
